2008 Tampa Florida Conference Information
Dear Distributors, Publishers, Teachers, Art Material Suppliers and Artists:
I am so excited to invite you to be part of the world’s biggest decorative painting party! This year the Society of Decorative Painters is hosting our 36th Annual Expo, May 28-31, 2008 in Tampa, Fla. We were the first in 1972 to stage a giant decorative painting event and we’re proud to say we’ve done it every year since.
Joining us as an exhibitor is a terrific opportunity for you to sell your products and services directly to the customers who are eager to buy them. Our members love to paint, and they love to spend money on painting supplies. They are especially wild about new products, packets and publications. As an exhibitor, you’ll have the chance to meet 1,500 registered attendees and another 2,000 walk-in shoppers with one thing on their minds: painting!
We are delighted to announce that we will again be working with Geo. Fern Company to help you plan and order fixtures and furniture for your booths. The Geo. Fern crew has served SDP and our exhibitors well for many years and when it comes to setting up our Expo, they have it down to a science. Utilities and audiovisual equipment will be available from the Tampa Convention Center so we can serve your needs, whatever they may be.
We offer booths in two sizes: Full Size (10’ by 10’ for $595) and Showcase (5’ by 10’ for $350). Corner booths are available for an additional $50. Amenities included in the booth fee include a draped 8-foot table, two chairs, a wastebasket, drayage service, free photo and listing on the Virtual Conference section of our website, the opportunity to display your latest products in the New Product Area, a listing in our Conference Program Booklet, identification sign and more. In addition, we pride ourselves on giving you the best possible on-site service at our full-time service desk and in our staffed show management office. There are added benefits available, too, including make-it-take-it and demo areas, sponsorship and ad opportunities.
Our Conference Special catalog is in the hands of our members right now and the registrations are flowing in. Registered attendees are already planning their SDP Expo shopping adventure and will line up by the hundreds for the Expo Premiere. Be ready to sell them the products they want by booking your booth today.
I look forward to meeting you and answering your questions. Please give me a call or e-mail to reserve your booth and don’t delay. The sooner you get in touch, the wider choice of booth locations you’ll have. Let’s work together to ensure that you have a successful show!
Best wishes,
Elizabeth Stevenson,
Conference Director
